Copyright Info & Options
Option 1
Yes, please copyright my child’s artwork. If you do choose to copyright your child’s art, Petite Picasso will assume all responsibility and all costs for the copyright process. Your book will be printed with a copyright mark, the artwork will be protected, and Petite Picasso then becomes the owner of your child’s artwork. Don’t panic, let me explain! We do not keep your original artwork; that goes right back to you! We will simply determine whether there are any pieces in your child’s portfolio that we feel could go beyond the pages of their book, and if there are, we will attempt to market that piece. We may market the art to children’s networks, children’s museums, galleries, art shows, children’s resorts in Florida that start with the letter “D”. . . youname it, if we see a reputable place for your piece, we will work to promote it. Your child will be paid 33% of any and all gross revenues generated by the sale or license of the works. The remaining 67% will go to Petite Picasso (and the lawyers who will help make all if this happen!) to cover both marketing and legal costs associated with the process. We will also try our hardest to keep you in the loop of any leads we may take with your art. We may use your piece in our marketing, and we will definitely notify you immediately should the art produce any sales. (With any luck, Johnny may paint his way through college!)
Option 2
No, do not copyright my child’s artwork. If you choose not to copyright your child’s artwork, that is fine! We will make your book for you, send it to you, and that is it! It will leave our hands and never be touched again (except by you!)
